Hi! My name is Emmie and I’m so excited that you have found Childbirth Conversations!
I’m first and foremost a follower of Jesus and seek to follow Him in all that I do.
I’m the wife of my wonderful hubby, Jim, for 13 years and we have 8 fun, amazing and crazy children (7 boys and 1 girl). I have been very blessed by my family and by my experiences with childbirth, both personally and professionally. Prior to having children I worked in Labor and Delivery as both a Tech and an RN at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, giving me a lot of knowledge and experience on the medical and technical side of birth. Having had 8 very diverse births without epidurals I have had a lot of knowledge and experience on the natural side. Through all of this I have grown in my love of birth and enjoy educating and encouraging women as they prepare for welcoming their child, whether it’s their first or 20th!
Some other things about me: I enjoy writing, reading, being around people, learning other languages and cultures, watching a good movie or TV show, learning what a healthy lifestyle looks like, being challenged and wrestling daily with who God has created me to be. I stay home full time with our kids and homeschool them. We’re active in our church and learning about deep community. I also love Norwex and am learning about Plexus, Essential Oils and healthier lifestyle choices.
